After posting my comment about TechLearn Institute, I found out that their Laptops / Notebooks department actually their terms of service actually allow for partial refunds in cases of service interruption. This might be useful information.

I've received an email from Joseph Taylor at TechLearn Institute offering a partial refund, but I believe I'm entitled to a full refund given the circumstances. The television was clearly defective from the start.
